Of course, if your favorite person in the whole wide world has as much energy as mine does, you'll understand my face in the following picture:
But not too much--I have to say that the week that Brad & I spent in Sevilla was one of the best--if not the best--weeks of my life. We went to the beach. It wasn't really warm enough to swim because of the wind, but it was still sunny. Brad and I had lots of fun skipping rocks (no, I do NOT throw like a girl) and climbing over the bigger version. We saw some pretty cool caves here too, but turns out that pictures taken underground without flash [not allowed] don't turn out too well. Here's Brad skipping rocks like a man:
I fed a wild cat. Nerja (and every other Spanish city, really) is full of wild feral cats. They are also hungry, go figure. I think they're adorable, so I bought a loaf of bread and attempted to feed them. Turns out they don't really like bread. I tried, though.
We smushed Euro pennies under the tram [which was partly a fail. turns out the tram isn't heavy enough]. Thinking back on it, I'm glad we didn't derail the tram. It made some funny noises going over the coins. You know, Gaudí died being hit by a tram. In case you've spent your life searching for the answer to how Gaudí died.
We played on children's playsets. Technically there's a sign that says this is completely not allowed because we're too old [and in SOMEBODY'S case, too heavy--okay fine, we're both too heavy], but I figured in the unlikely event that we got busted, it'd be perfectly believable that we didn't speak Spanish.
Basically, I'm pretty darn sure that this is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. I mean, how amazing is a 22-year-old who stops in the middle of a beautiful Spanish park not to look at the fountain or for a romantic kiss [because PDA is more than acceptable in Spain], but to take a ride on the children's toys. Yep, that's my man.
On a completely different and less romantically sickening note, I also made it to Barcelona in November (also went to La Rábida and Niebla, but those are other stories). Pictures and stories for that one later. Like after exam craziness.
